Resurrection Lutheran Church (first) is built.

1874

Originally the Emmanuel Church or the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church, it is located on Emerald Street. The congregation was established in 1874. C.F. Johnson is the first minister. A new church (second) is built in Roxbury in 1924.* The congregation merges with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church to become Resurrection Lutheran Church in 1965. The original building becomes an Albanian Church and then St. George Russian Orthodox Church.
